Despite being an elf fan, those models disappointed me much.
Even LotR elves are better IMO. To be honest, the Mantic's elves look quite silly
When I heard rumours about that I hoped that at last I would get some great elf models, but damn...whatever.

Got some free sample sprues with elf archers... Cant say my opinion changed, good effort but the miniature proportions are not only wrong but look bad.

I was asked on other forum about head sizes and scale of these mantic elves and if they are good for GW head swaps... I dont have any GW elfs apart from the warhammer quest one so i took pics to compare both...
Scale wise mantic is smaller than GW stuff...

another missed chance for convertions bitz.

Well I think this is on purpose: Mantic really wants to distinguish itself from GW. You can clearly see the GW elf is a lot bulkier, while the Mantic one (ok, the scale is a bit smaller) is skinnier and more graceful.
This picture also shows the superior quality of the Mantic molding.

Its a 1995 warhammer quest sprue... recent GW sprues are much more refined believe me I have space hulk

... also the mantic diferent scale and extremelly thin parts will be way to fragile to handle... example: the mantic elf archer sword design its extremelly thin in some parts and it will break under the smallest pressure.
I wish mantic makes some cool small gobbos or other less "rigid" races. I like that elf dog.

Didn't know that elf was 15 years old....
Next races are going to be undead and dwarfs, I'm sure goblins will come in the future

dwarfs can also live well with the smaller scale I guess... and undead I hope for lots of skulls and skeletons ( the scale even if smaller can work good for adding bitz to citadel minis and bases etc.
Any uncommon race previewed corvus? I think by looking at these elfs they would do good insect people etc.
