Re: GW Skaven news
From a painting point of view whenever i think Skaven, i think diorama but nothing more than that usually. some of the characters do perk my interest but only to some extent, although i have to admit the new doomwheel thing is just cool.
I can see what you mean between the new clanrats and regiments, they do look much better now.

Re: GW Skaven news
They certainly made the best improvements with the Clanrats and Stormvermin. As Mahon said not he cartoony oversized Hulk like models the last plastic edition were but sleek and sneaky as they should be. Also, those models were a pain in the arse to assemble, these look like three or four piece models and should be way easier to rank up!
I agree Squeek will look enourmously off when put next to other models and will have a hard time to rank in a regular unit but I really like his look. The skeleton on his back looks like a massive skaven beast rather more than a horse's skeleton to me btw...
Also the beastmaster looks more like a hamster to me!

Re: GW Skaven news
Skrit, I think you missed my point slightly:
I meant that this one (Queek) is my favorite, as it remains consistent with the style of the army, is MUCH better than the previous one, and is very dynamic - like the rats should be.
The trophy rack is a shame, especially that he started to carry whole skeletons instead of only heads...

This is very good as a separate model, but doesn't go well with the style of the army. But this way of sculpting cloaks seems to be a new trend in GW miniatures.
Reminds me of comic books, or style of some of Reaper's Sophie concept art, which unfortunately didn't translate well to Sophie miniatures...

Generally the improvement is hard to deny...
