You might want to look into getting yourself some matt varnish, it would go a long way to helping your mini's look more real, the shinyness seems out of place to me.
Getting back into the thick (or rather thin as in thinning my paints) of it, not picked up a brush in some time so this may hurt a bit until I get used to the feel of them again

I used matte spray - Krylon 1311 ; do you have a brand and part number that you like that would be available in the USA???

I just have a small pot of Vallejo Matt Varnish here and I have to admit I haven't properly finished a mini to try it on so sorry I can't advise you in that, did you give that mini a wash of Future polish before the matt?

OK, got it about the Vallejo recommend.
Did not use Finish on the mini, only used it on the bottom of the base to adhere the paper with the printing on it.
