I am liking this very much Nameless. Nicely painted and well presented. Best of luck! Is the wood base purchased and then stained or purchased pre-finished?

thanks

@Dragyn - I had this piece of wood in my house, don't really know what it was used for. I covered it with glossy spray paint, that's all.

Very nice scene Nameless, and I have to agree about the Infinity models, they are nice to paint

The way I looked at this scene: big blue guy wants to finish the already wounded guy, soft-hearted woman wants to stop this. She hates violence. She has a special healing gun to make the world a better place.
(but I guess I'm biased by my gender

)

Bren, long time no see

Actually, my story is quite similar to yours. I just made it up more...dark and gritty, in the style of 'saving private ryan' battle scenes.
As arctica asked me for a quote from Full Metal Jacket that inspired me (or in fact helped to execute my old idea), here it is. It might add another level to my scene. Just tell me, who's the marine from this quote - blue, standing guy or the wounded one?
Sergeant Hartman wrote:The deadliest weapon in the world is a Marine and his rifle. It is your killer instinct which must be harnessed if you expect to survive in combat. Your rifle is only a tool. It is a hard heart that kills. If your killer instincts are not clean and strong you will hesitate at the moment of truth. You will not kill. You will become dead Marines. And then you will be in a world of shit. Because Marines are not allowed to die without permission! Do you maggots understand?

I'm out of IP, it doesn't mean I'm not painting anymore. Here are 2 scorpions from OOP Demonworld game. Both sculpted by Herr Klocke in 15mm scale, both painted by me

Minis no. 5-6/2009 - Grancroid and Uncroid.

Nice painting but I don't like the sculpts for several technical reasons I feel too ashamed to go into
