Pose is good, after all it is supposed to display her rump. Maybe I read too much magazines that sees nothing wrong in pose like that...

I suspect that white parts are just carved/sandpapered parts...no other magic there

Maybe she is bent over that way as to add more upper boddy motion to the grappling hook she is about to throw against a cross wind?
