It's for silly children that can't type to save their lives, basically. I can typically type the same stuff fully out almost as fast, but then again, I took an honest "typing" (not "keyboarding") class with an old school teacher that didn't take crap from her students.

thx Trov !!!!!111Trovarion wrote:oh jesus...i need to explain all that now? now where's the fun in that ^^
"leet" or "1337" is derived from "elite" (you are so leet/elite) and afaik has it's origin in hacker slang: "fear my leet skills"
!!!!!!11111oneone etc. refers to people (usually young and/or restless/jumpy) who use a lot of !!!s (and ???s) in their sentences which turns into 111 when they cant hold shift long enough - it's usually considered bad manners/dumb and oneoneoneeleveneleven is just an exaggeration of this...
kthxbye makes fun of people who use a lot of abbrevations for everything kk=ok ok, gl hf=good luck and have fun (often used in internet games before the "battle" or "match" starts) just like omgwtfbbqpwnage (oh my god, what the fück, barbeque - as in roast/burn/flame/totally anihilate someone - same as "pwn" = misspelled "own" - "i own you"=i beat you by a lot, kinda...)
anything else unclear?
