Tallens is indeed satin. But works fine on metallic paints. I recently use Maimeri (similar to shown to you) which makes a deep dull coat. Even with metallics.
All my Skaven miniatures are covered with Maimeri matt spray. Nicely dull all the inks which I used.

i see testors going down the drain with a new recipie though. i think now i know the reason why my usual dullcoat got a new recipie and sucked hard all of a sudden :S

One thing about maimeri Demi. Shake it WELL! Really hard for at least few minutes. In other case it can went satin.
And remember about metallics ;)

It depends of course. I quite like how matt metallics went on my skaven minis. It fits them well.
