Gareth wrote:Hi guys, I made first cut in 2 categories with my Blood Angel Chaplain, and Blood Angel Terminators.

I was over the moon, because as you know these are my gaming models (was using them in a game the tuesday before the event for instance! lol).

My first Gamesday and Golden Demon. I have pics from the event on the website I Admin.

@Trov: Thanks for your faith in me :D

But what I meant was a bit different: I wanted to say that I'd be happy to see any of my gaming minis make the first cut. I feel that entrieson the early Golden Demons were just very nice gaming minis. Now it all went to become a contest of masterpieces, miniature artworks.

And I think what makes Gareth so happy is that not only he was able to make the first cut, but he did it with the miniatures he uses for gaming, and painted them with this purpose.

Even if I believe I could win a demon (not a gold probably, because now I lack the practice many people have, but a bronze is plausible) I wanted to say that knowing you play games with GD finalist minis must give a lot of satisfaction. :)

@Slawek - I prefer to see this site runnning and myself painting hardly anything, than spend time painting minis and seeing Chest of Colors closed.
