as for me:
if You want to achieve glowing lava imo You should add some deep orange and red light

but that's just me

the head and parts around it looks good. As the rest is still unfinished I can't say much about. It looks promising though. I'm looking forward to the finished light effects together with the base.

looks good, although the pic is too small to say anything specific.
Is lava finished? I think, that you would have to work more on that part.

i've seen this mini and had a flash of black and white movie

it's just the first touch of brushes and a monochromatic challenge quite exciting
