Very nice! That looks pretty good to me, with or without shading. Was the process fast enough to do it over the whole army?

I think I could easily do it, I have set myself the target of getting 3500pts done by December. It will be pushing truth be told but.. I think I may be able to do it. Maybe.. We shall see.

KingUlric is having computer issues (can't log in, etc), so I'm posting for him:

Ten based, painted and completed.
Right, a few things about them.
You may or may not notice that four of them have slightly different colours, mainly on the blue, this is because I forgot my reciepe for the blue. But placed together it is hard to see. One has his weapon placed oddly and thus his shield does not truly look correctly placed.
I am currently using PS7 and I am getting use to it, it is slightly different to the previous version, and so pictures may suffer for a while - as in you may have difficulties in seeing highlights, something I noticed with the metallics. I will work on this, same with the slight red tone in the background, I am unsure as to what this is or why it is there but I will look into it.
Ok, so looking at these - I am pleased (much better in person). Based on the batch of six I did I can do them in about six hours complete, so a full unit of warriors at this standard will take about thirty two hours - give or take a few.
So all crit and comments welcomed.

The Dwarfs themselves look good but are the bases finished? At the moment they look a bit dull and flat.

I have played about with PS and got the hang on the gradient background, so this was just a play about;

I am nearly done with the unit, just the banner (with my first piece of freehand) and two shields to be completed. Hopefully you will see the results by the beginning of next week if not before.
Skrit - The bases are more or less done, no static grass on them though. Most have been done maybe too dark, more fortress grey to lighten them up maybe? Otherwise I am quite happy with them.

That might help but maybe some washes would be even better. Greens and browns?

the first unit looks great ! if you can maintain this standard you will have one of the nicest dwarf armies I have ever seen.

Skrit - They are washed, first with a watered brown ink then I add in dark angels green and reapply this. Hard to see in the picstures and I am unsure of whether it would show up anyway but they are washed. I will try a lighter stone look on the next unit.
Mordred - Thank you but that is only half the unit, another ten to come yet. In fact - tomorrow you will see pictures.

I like them, they look really natural but as was mentioned some washes or other weathering (and I don't mean rust!

) would improve their look...
