That specter is amazing. I love Dark Sword, especially the A Song of Ice and Fire line, but that specter is just brilliant. If I didn't have so much stuff in paint-limbo, I'd pick one up.

I agree: the wraith is the coolest model but the blue mage is the best painted btw it's done by Jen Haley, most others by Matt Verzani.

Dark Sword - 2010 Special Edition Tribute - SteamPunk Jen Haley - DSM7513

Well, you all know I like to do fun miniatures such as my wife, our pooches and of course painters (and have plans for a good deal more fun stuff when Tom gets some more time). Well 2010 is upon us and the very talented Jen Haley has followed in the footsteps of my wife Melissa , my two miniature schnauzers and Marike Reimer to be immortalized by Mr. Tom Meier.

Jen was very involved in the concept phase of this design as she wanted to be a SteamPunk character. The results speak for themselves and I think many folks will have fun painting this piece up. The detailing on her hair, bodice and dress are just amazing.

Dark Sword is going to use the proceeds of the sales from this miniature to help Jen defray the costs of a trip to a big international painting competition in 2011. These trips can get expensive and Dark Sword wants to do its part to help send the painters we have the privilege of working with over there to compete.

For those of you who know Miss Haley, you will know that Tom captured her perfectly. Jen is also a big costume designer. It would be fun to see her in this costume some day.

Please note - this is a gaming scale miniature in line with other Dark Sword minis - not a 54mm!
