good idea but I doubt I'll practice it on this chaos knight:
all I wanted to do was finishing the model - undercoated model and barely started base were haunting me from glass case for long time and I couldn't start another project without banishing the previous :wink:

I like that knight quite a bit. He has a very battleworn look that really compliments the model and the blood on the halberd is just right imho. The base is damn cool too, nice job Demi.

time for an update - the models are in gallery but Nameless and arctica want to see them here as well so here we go :razz:

first one is old albion giant model painted as wedding gift for my friend from univ (his big day is 12.09 and right now he's damn scared :mrgreen: )
I can't say I like the final effect but what is important my buddy likes it and I don't need anything more :) he also chose colors, base etc - that's why the model is so disguistingly alive... yuck! :razz: :wink:
I think I should pick different backgound... :think:

second one is driller - mecenary heavy jack from warmachine range;
I bought if from a friend who was selling his mecenaries army (and started the goddamn protectorate of menoth :evil: ) - I've always liked this model so I thought it will be nice addition to my glass case - there are only 2 models with snow themed bases now :xmas:

Great update demi ! :D the driller is so cool, did you repose it? because it's looking more dynamic compared with the usual looking ones. It has a really gritty feel to the mini, and i like that with your minis.

The giant is nice, but i've never really liked any of the giant sculpts :) the old ones we plain and the new one is meh. Still you've done a good job on painting him, congratulations to your friend :D im sure he'll like the giant.

I can't quite understand why people like these Albion giants. I can't force myself to like them...
The paintjob is interesting but looks flat to me. So much more is going on on the rock he's wielding than on his skin...

The driller is a nice model. Very busy, but on the other hand the paintjob looks flat again. Of course I may be wrong, but it looks as if it needed some more shading and highlighting to pick out edges and details. On the other hand the base, plinth, and the whole snowy atmosphere are all excellent and make this model really interesting.

I can spot a cat's hair on the giant :P

The driller is cool. I have the model too, still needs some paint on it. I had expected some more battle damage on yours, but it's a nice change :) Are you trying to get your fig in the no quarter again? You attention -bleep- :P :P :mrgreen:

I swaped it's arms and repositioned it's leg - on official pic the model is "running" which makes it look just silly imo :roll:

I know driler is flat but I wanted to keep paintjob realistic :)
I think next time I'll try to do better job - all these edges just beg to me highlighted :)

Sorry I can't remember your cats' names :) I think it's a white hair and it's on his front leg, on the bandages ;)
