Patafix dosen't hold paint and its always soft so it cant be used to cast, but its ok for practicingNameless wrote:that person cannot ofer you casts, Panda
I was asking, cause I'm not sure how would this patafix stuff endure transport and if paint would stick to it.

Re: Pandadosmares WIP's
as I've told you already, base is painted better than Alice. Paintjob is too flat on her and (she actually looks slightly better on this pic than in reality).
but I do like the diorama and story behind it, especially that cat's grin adds so much - so, fuckers, who's da boss now?!
congrats again!

Re: Pandadosmares WIP's
I think it is one of your two best works. The alice is good, quality-wise, even though it wouldn't do so well in a single mini category. Not only the model itself is not a contest winner, so it cuts your chances down, but also the paintjob is still too shy, too timid. You saw what bold lighting means now, didn't you?
I believe seeing what we mean with the 'go bolder' and 'go for the extremes' advice will help you to make your works even better.
But as a side note I can add that the progress from your nurgle ogryn to the diorama is big. still so much to improve though.
The base is the best part of the scene. On Alice her face is the best part. And Nameless is right - the pics add some more depth to it, compared to seeing it in person.
And the diorama is just a very good diorama - with action plotted, post-action scene set up, obvious interaction between models, and nice scenery. Just what dioramas are about!
The second good work is the commander of your yellow marines. Or more precisely: his face and sword. The armor is terribly flat. Neat but way too flat.
You already know how to improve it, don't you?
Good job on taking Bronze with your diorama. It was not an easy category, and you did it, mate!

Great Diorama! One of my favorite on this contest. Especially i like color of the walls, rusty, and of course very realistic blood. Now i know that Alice is very dangerous young girl
Ps. Which colors You used to paints walls?
