Galharen wrote:(...)the sides of the water surface aren't clear and transparent enough.
that was very intesting matter:
in all 3 bases I used andrea water for the water is very clear from above but matt/swampy looking from the sides...
I tried everything for leviathan's base (I really wanted to make water clear to show some items on the bottom) so the base was sandpapered, polished, varnished - and nothing :(
it actually was being polished/sandpapered so much, that I reach the model (2nd pic, right front levi's leg) and the wooden base started incinerating - the brown wood (2nd pic once again) is not just original color of the base...
looks like solving the mystery of andrea water is as tough as learning how the dinosaurs became extinct

I really like the "atmosphere" of this model -swampy,misty somethin' As for the water I had the same problem- (india rubber glue of my "border tape" shouldn't react with resin but it did) IMO resin is just old :( what I did was after polishing sides with sand paper I used a bit of resin (almost dry) and some varnish.

time to post something new - this time my entry for 2nd cofc mini exchange; it was painted for Neolis;
the model is one of new sciborminiatures products - I think it will be released in august or a bit later...
it doesn't have "own" base yet so I built sth in sci-fi style :)
