I don't particularly have a problem with the GW rip offs to be honest with one big proviso. They must bring something new to the idea - not just a rearranging of features that you would find in a GW sculpt. I am rarely impressed with Scibor/ Kabuki not SM models for this reason. They aren't original in thought and are basically not SM's in heroic poses with one foot stood on something. Serious, can we stop with the one foot stood on something - it is starting to get a tad trite and just elicit a "ho hum" when I look at them. However, their other stuff I quite enjoy and have just placed and order for a couple of Kabuki models via Maelstrom.
The ork brings nothing new to the table and IMHO the sculpt in AOBR is actually superior. The Nurgle champion however, despite the fact that I just don't like Nurgle sculpts in general, seems to bring a sense of evil and dark deeds with it. The vulture and the screaming head in the body is a nice touch.
I suppose at some point we could do with a threaded discussion on originality but I bet that could easily descend into a good ol'fashioned flame fest.
