Trov - I have a strange feeling, that you are dead serious and do not notice that we are joking a bit in the same time :)

That would be scary :P

But seriously - I haven't noticed his limited palette of colors, but I don't care - what I care for it effect. Means mean little to me. If he achieves good results with 3 colors, that's fine with me.

I don't think of him as of an untouchable hero. I just like his works, that's all.

And yes, I was not dead serious before now. :curtain:

I dont know... same colors all over again tend to clowd the originality of the work... also each mini has its own ambiance/ style mood etc... you just cant slap same colors for diferent stuff ( actually you can but its a bit redutory of the thing called painting minis)

choosing colors is part of the painting tecnique :P

Yes, but it doesn't make me like his works any less. I just like them - I think it's something which you don't do intentionally. You either like something or not...

sure thing mate... I understand that you see something and like it and thats it!
Good for a superficial opinion on something... although if you choose to analize it a bit more. wich is a bit of the purpose on this thread for some, you will see a bit further than immediate senses joy, and maybe your opinion on something starts to change when you do that analisys.

Personally if i see same technique or style over and over again i tend to dislike what i see... but thats just me since i get tired of images really fast.

You're right. I was just enjoying Automaton's works, while a few other persons did actually analyze them - which I never did.

Sometimes after a hard day of work believe me... the only thing i want to analize is the time i take to get on the bed :)
Diferent days diferent moods mate, theres nothing wrong about having fun just browsing and let yourself relax by looking at some pics... same thing goes by picking some details of the work and analize it to the bone. :)

Bottomline, Trov is going to be pissed with me when i bring all my extremelly pickyness analyzing his minis hihi.
