Yeah that Han Solo... not my finest hour! I did learn a bunch though!
Here's an RBG dude for a comp on WAMP. My first ever full on scenic display base, and I re-worked the battle damage on the shield with the help of some advice from you CofC'ers. Thanks! Here he is...

My face is immediately drawn to the shield of the model rather than the face, again similar to your han solo mini i personally would like more well defined features on the face and perhaps a nice freehand pattern on the large plain shield. I think that would move this model from a good piece to a great model.

I looks cool, but i agree with Artica, wend painting faces for me one thing that must be visible and well defined are the eyes cos they are 70% of the mood of the face
Other than that i like it and the base grass is sweet, is it from army painter?

Good piece, and I agree with the fellows' opinion above.

I like the big plain sheild and the mood the colours give the miniature, the only thing I'm not keen on are the eyes which seem too pale and a little lost amongst everything else. I don't think a design on the sheild would help though, I think it might become the focus of the model even more than it already is.

The eyes and the feather are best, the skin on the face looks also nice. I think the photo is a bit too dark and the fur is quite hard to judge for me.

solo and the hammerer have the same problem - faces
the librarian looks better but I am not too fond of the fur/hair. I think it's the sculpt though, and it must be difficult to paint in any nice way.
face is OK, so are the hands. the feather and book are very good here. love the writing.

Thanks gang!
I agree about the faces lacking something. I'm just not sure how to break through to better results. I started a thread in the painting section asking for some help and discussion to get some better results here....

and I'd love to start trying out some new stuff and getting better results. I appreciate any advice and tips! Thanks again peoples!
