Same here - love the weight, love the texture, love the feel of metal. And to me it takes paint more nicely

Just personal preference for sure...
I don't need to convert much. There are so many cool miniatures for me to paint, that I don't need to change them too much.

I remember over 10 years ago when I was starting my warhammer-gaming I was adding some weights inder chaos warrior and chaos knights bases to make it al least a bit metal-heavy..

The ruins are really excellent. Probably very expensive but really nice.
And I like these Morgul Knights. I don't think I'd ever need so many of them, but they seem to be something I would be able to paint

40k new and re-releases
I think the Eldar Fire prism is a big improvement. You don't need mad painting skills anymore to make it look like a crystal

and the design is also much better, less bulky.

I never know what's changed in Eldar vehicles. Now I noticed a different (translucent) crystal.
