ok, perhaps this guy here will give you more reasons to comment
some time ago I painted this mini during ME2. I liked it so I decided to paint one for myself :)You will see some similarities (cloak, skin), on the other hand the armour went in a completely different direction without asking me for permission. yeah, I think I really don't like to repeat paintjobs.
anyway, I think I am finally learning how to use stronger contrast on my minis. Pretty satisfied with that element on this mini. now, it's about f&%^ time to learn something about smooth painting

CMON this way

smooth painting is for sissies or for winning painting competitions. I don't want to be the first, and will not achieve the latter, so I wouldn't go that way

I like it although you could improve painting smoothness for sure
you didn't cut off original backgroung from behind the bush btw

here I am again, with my first Heresy mini. It's not just any devil, mind you. It's THE Devil. I just couldn't paint him with anything but reds. I didn't attach his wings. Didn't find them appropriate for THE Devil. But, I did have to cut his horns off...
The base is Scibor's product.
I think it's my best paintjob so far.

CMON this way

technically speaking this can be your best paintjob, and I think I wpild only suggest two things to try:
- take thinned black ink, mix it with the purple you used for shading and make the deepest shadows even deeper.
- take a nice and saturated red ink, thin it and cover the whole red surfaces with a thin layer of it, then wipe it quickly from highlights. repeat until satisfied

I do really like the red on this fella, i think the shades are nice and vibrant. I think your attempts at NMM are much better than when i first started doing NMM, but i think the contrast and smoothness for a realistic NMM isn't quite there yet but that does require practice. I do find with a grey NMM addition of colours such as blue or purple help give the object more depth and easier transition. Still well done on a really good model

That is a nice one. Smoothness and more variated colors could help a bit, but that IS a nice one. Congrats!
