The World Expo was a superb experience, not least the hospitallity room that let us drink until 4 or 5 in the morning - something rare at exhibitions! Mind you it made the mornings hard work!

There were also some talks by notable modellers, one of the most enjoyable from John Rosengrant, a gold medal winner, who also happens to work in Hollywood for Stan Winston running the creature shop and has contributed to various movies from Aliens (he was puppeteering the Queen Alien) through Jurassic Park, A.I., Constantine and many others. Nice Job!!!

Here's a link to some of the exhibits:

BTW, the next World Expo will be in Spain in 2008 - well worth attending as it's a week long event and awards are given for ability, not 1st 2nd 3rd, so if it's good enough it gets an award.

Wooohooo! Fun topic moving again!

@ToMaZ - too funny, your gf looks so much like someone I went to college with!

@Skrit - post a fairly recent pic or I'll post a pic of you, bucko! ;)

I'd tell Matt he's cute, but his head and ego would swell even more. :P

@Orb - Ok, you don't look that old. Geesh! And cute kid! :D (And thanks for the link to the World Expo pieces. I've been looking for those, actually.)

@Demi: The painting pic is taken in our gaming club, so it's not my room.
But yes, a room for the hobby, though it has to be shared with others, is a great relief for the space in my room :D

@Matt - I actually had to go back and look! *chuckle* No, no... just don't want your ego to swell too much more. ;)

@Szary - hi :rose: I wish my hair was that curly.

@Gottkaiser - Weight comments, much like age comments, will only get you crap from me. :P And hi! :D

Actually, I could probably get a picture of DeadMilkMan/Wes if I wanted.... But then I'd have to put up with him giving me grief for it. He'd get revenge, and since he has access to where I sleep at GenCon, we have a pretty solid truce on these kinds of things. ;)

Somebody else is gonna have to threaten Trov. I've already threatened Skrit. ;) Not taking on that many risks at once. :D

Hey Tom! Don't you have a pic of Trov somewhere? *big innocent smile*

Thought I had better post and show my ugly mug, I am the one in the middle of my bundles of joy, the big one on the right Nathan (8) is a Blood Angels Fanatic, while the little one on the left George (4) is a space wolves fanatic.
