ok this lence is actualy from the "soft side of the power " ;)
but F8 should start to get good effect if it comes to sharpnes

Does this mean I use no higher or lower than f8? The Mage Hunter Assassin was shot using f16.

it mean actualy what it mean :)
F8 is best sharpnes on this lences below end far abowe became " dreemy " end 16f is far abowe

try set focal lenght on 70 end F on 8 end get photo from about 50 cm that should give you theoreticly best performence with thins lences (thats theory it mey act difrent )
