I would suggest adding more different color tones (purple, green, red, blue) to the skin.

oh my, your pics show how bad the sculpt is - rough, with all the details not sculpted but carved. and carved very roughly...

Well, I don`t want to make his skin looks like a mess

Yeah, it is hard to paint him, especially the skin

I think small addition of those different colours to the shades of the skin would be acceptable and give it more depth. I still think the skin looks pretty unfinished. I'd be tempted to try either doing tattoos or even veins and stuff in his skin.

add different colors to shadows. check the reference pic from me.
to me the skin color is too (unnaturally) monochrome.
