something new from me, still no Robin though, sorry!
I painted this model for Bytom 2012 show, I thought it would be weird to go there without any historical model

it's Roman Cavalry Officer from Latorre Models, 54mm scale. based on a character from Gladiator film, so I call him Spanyard instead.
new company for my showcase, historical genre, bigger scale - I still follow my plans (new manufacturers, variety) for 2012!

not much, I got medal in the Busts category with the new dwarf

had few more entries (Spanyard and few of my fantasy minis), and I was sure of one thing only - my bust did not deserve the prize as there were much better paintjobs on busts. My other enties could get a prize or not, I wouldn't be horribly surprised with any outcome. As it turned out, the bust drew attention of the judges better than all other things I took there

@Khaine - Reaper Master Series paints mainly, I have some GW paints too. few flesh tones were used here, some reds, browns, orange, violet, black and white too
@Hellspawm - technically, it wasn't gold

Bytom show is more an exhibition than a competition, judges select up to 3 works in a category which get the award (medal, honourable mention - call it as you will). no 1-2-3 place

Well, technically even if it's not "gold" or 1-2-3 spots, it's just really nice to have been picked up
