I also like to build terrain. It comes in waves, sometimes I'm more on the terrain side, other times more on the mini painting side :)

I found though, that making detailed interior doesn't make much sense. At least if you make them for playing. We almost never use interiors, only run around buildings, even if the possibility is given to go through doors.
Yes, i know. But i am one of those crazy people who does paint even the interior of his tanks or paints before assembling because it isn`t possible to paint (or see) it after assembly.
And... i like painting the interior. ;)
I can`t understand, why people give all their love to painting their armies and than they play them on a table where they use the cheapest possible terrain. I think the painting of terrain and miniatures is the same "art".

Only the items on the table revealed that it's not a photo of a real wooden house/room. Well done!

Absolutely agree on that. I have also built some terrain pieces where I built the interior as well, I thought that would make an awesome game. I have built buildings where you can separately remove every floor, put and play with the minis inside. I think I could count on one hand how many times we've done this :)

I decided not to waste time with interiors anymore. I'm anyway a slow painter and I don't have much free time and like you, I also like to play on nice scenery. So I spend the available time rather working on nice outlooks of my terrain :)

This is so nice, a little highlight in the overwhelmingly dark terrain pieces I see much (and mostly make myself, too) nowadays :)
