You might want to consider watering down some milliput and splashing that on the model before you prime to smooth some of the surfaces, i've tried to get into a habit of doing that now for all my metal minis, i think it helps even if it is a little bit.

Might do that, I'll get some next time I'm in a town that has a Games Workshop... but scarce down these parts

I don't think you'll find any milliput in a gw store

Hmmm I seem to remember buying Milliput once that was a single tube :S all I can find on-line two tube epoxy, what would you guys use?

milliput is easily dilluted in water, I think that other putties would not work as good for this specific purpose
