my favorite is the skaven. probably thanks to the good photo.

you seem to be faithful to the classic way of painting, as taught in the WDs :) good to see such style again!

Could you define classic way of painting a bit?! Not that I mind I tell you but I am interested to know what you mean. :)

With the death Jester I feel I have moved away a bit from my usual style abit. Anyone agree?

Define it? Uh, I doubt I can...

I think it's something you can see in White Dwarf issues from late 90s. I believe many of us were heavily influenced by this style (metallics, washes, quite clean and saturated colors, etc.) - especially those who were already involved in the hobby at that time.

You see, now many painters move away from this style towards something more like the French or Spanish painters presented - you know, different approach to colors, more 'painterly' things...
Your harlequin is a big step in this direction.

That's why I think it's good to see some examples of the way of painting about which I am so sentimental.

Is it just me or is the Beastmen Centigor a little to shiny?
Getting back into the thick (or rather thin as in thinning my paints) of it, not picked up a brush in some time so this may hurt a bit until I get used to the feel of them again :doh:
