Small update. Got the shield mostly painted with only a few more light wash coats to be placed in certain spots on it, tried to clean up the halberd a bit although I think I may have to scrap it clean and start over on the blade. Couple of minor touchups as well which leave mainly the cloak to be finished.

will he be an individual model or a rank-and-file trooper?

if he's an individual model, I would highlight the edges of the chaos star more. they look like they're missing some definition and sharpness to me. I like the lava effect very much, and the color scheme (except for the yellow hair).

Rank and file Mahon. All these guys are for a tabletop army right now. I am thinking of entering them in the GD for the hell of it and painting up my Jugger Lord for my 'real' entry.

Oh, speaking of the star, I added further highlights beyond this point and then darkened the entire thing up a bit to allow the lava effect to stand out a bit more. I will take pics when I get a chance.

I do really like the detail GW have put into their new plastic kits, its really nice and i think it makes painting the model much more interesting. Great start on the metallics there. :D
