I think Demi's right about something to bind the base with the rest of the model. Not that you should repaint it, but maybe remember about it for your future works. That's the one comment I'd add. Maybe also I ain't too fond of the right hand's fingers, but you should alreay know it.
Anyway - finishing this model was quite an achievement (I always wanted to paint one, too) and painting it before the deadline - even a bigger one!

RE: The Death Is Coming - 1/2009
I like the highlight on the torso
and paintwork on the end of the robe.
Can I vote in this challenge?
You know, I wrote in the PL section about the brown bush (that this color doesn't match the composition) but after 23:00 i am changing my mind
Generaly after this hour I am thinking a little in a different way
Now I like it, and I am thinking it was a good decision - thanks to it the blue looks more interesting.
I have to go to rest
good night

RE: The Death Is Coming - 1/2009
I replied to your question in the Polish section already, Ana
As for the bush - I chose this colour cause I wanted to create area with dead vegetation - tree stump, witherd bush. Prior to taking pics I also felt I didn't like the achieved effect (comparing it to my initial plans). Heck, it was too late for me to change it due to deadline, but I think I achieved another effect that I quite like. It now actually makes him look even more out of this world.

ALl around I like this one Phil. I had this mini and was going to use parts of it for a conversion that I never got around to. Assembeled and painted in this way makes me wish I hadn't sold it now.

I like the C'tan but am not too fond of the base which is not 40k-ish enought to me.
Are you going to add the starfield later Phil?

I have many remarks regarding the base myself, but compliance with the 40k world was not my goal at all.
Starfield - probably not. It is always a problem for me to go to the mini I consider finished, even if I see place for improvement.
Thanks all for kind words and remarks. Appreciate it.

The remark about the base being not 40.000 -ish enough is not about that it's not good but just my personal taste mate.
Shame about the starfield, would really like to have seen that!

War. War never Changes - 2-4/2009
well, I managed to get to round 2 of IP. another 2 weeks, another entry finished. I'm really satisfied with what I managed to execute in that time.
Again, I tried to comply not only with contest theme, but with my resolutions
I've never painted Infinity minis (shame, really, they are fantastic), so here they are. Some Infinity for my showcase display
Feel free to come up with your own story for this scene, there are few possible interpretations

great work nameless, very gritty and the whole diorama paints a good picture
The detail in the snow is particularly nice for me. Great stuff dude
