I agree that plactic models are much better than they used to be and they are the best you can get for converting.

But for painting I always liked the rough surface of metal miniatures...

Maybe thats something im just not used to yet, Im sure with more practice i'll get the hang of it. You never know i might change my opinion in 12 months time . Still i hope that PP can maintain their level of detail with their minis. Lets all see and hope it'll come together.
