 that's all?
Thanks but I count on your critic's eyes

Now I am painting a daemon prince for the same Nurgle army as before, tomorrow I will finish it, because at this moment I don't have a base for it and I am spending some time learning how to drive.

Good luck with the driving, you obviously don't need any luck with your painting

My GirlFriend loves the wings on that last one, so natural, as for the Tau, I'm undecided as I prefer the fantasy to sci-fi but the over all feel of the piece is great I do agree with Hosea about the base needing some wet stuff though and last but not in the tiniest bit least the 1/2 naked chick with the book... OMG that tattoo is marvelous, do you have any close up pictures of just the tattoo?

Oh and e-bay are fools for listening to whoever complained, she's a great piece and has marvelous attributes ;)
Getting back into the thick (or rather thin as in thinning my paints) of it, not picked up a brush in some time so this may hurt a bit until I get used to the feel of them again

I must say, that this Ariel is one of the best stuff I've seen in some time. Seems to be infulenced a bt by the LoTR movie Galadriel scene it is really dripping with mood. GREAT IMHO!

THis is the bestest version of Ariel I have ever seen done for such an old model. The ethereal atmosphere works beatifully and the butterfly wings are gorgeous. Another 3 thumbs up on this one Ana.

I happen to have this model and havent sold it yet. I wonder how it would look, at least the wings if the blue/purple interference colours were used as part of the wing, hmmmmm. . . .

Thanks for all comments and suggestions :rose:

@Dragyn: probably it coud look pretty :D

Ariel is an old model - not often painted now, thanks for the opinion of "the best version" but I think that many painters whowould paint her now, would do this similar. The last years painting of minis went far, and now I can do more then they a few years ago.
Usually I don't like old school minis, but this model has atmosphere and is quite a good sculpt.

@Cyberpaddy66: Yes, I agree with suggestion about mud. I will correct it before sending :)

You have developed your own original painting style. It is always a great pleasure to see how you can turn a piece of metal into a an art piece, every time. Ariel is great. Not because technic, which is good, but because the colors makes atmoshpere and thats all about.
Congrats for fantastic work and waiting for another suprise

Although I don't care for the model, the paint job is FLAWLESS. The wings truely are awesome.

You've done a beautiful job with Ariel! I think the purples and browns are matched very, very well.

I'm looking at the OSL and the ribbons below the staff... I think it would be better if I could see it in person. The photos almost make parts look like the OSL is hitting some wrong places on the ribbons, but it may just be the angles of the photos. But some of the ribbons next to the headdress and hair look a little confusing.

Over all, though, she is magnificent. I showed her to a new painter here and he couldn't find words to match her. ;)

Soon you will be closer to this Ariel than me ;) It goes to the USA .
I am glad that you like it :) I understand what you mean about the ribbons. When I saw the photos I checked why this part doesn't look realistic. In fact it looks more perpendicular than it really is. I sculpted thin nooks of ribbons to put light on them. This way I could apply the light the way I did.
If I had sculpted it with in the direction of the base, then on these elements will be almost without light and there would be a gap in lighting. I know the light wouldn't be reflected so boldly from the ribbons, but I decided to trade some realism for the effect I liked :) But I see I could sculpt it different.
