How to sculpt space marine foot?

How to convert or sculpt a miniature? How to make a decent base or even a full diorama?!

WOW so many replies. And great photo tutorial.
ILUSIONRIP it was more that I can expect... Great help. Navarro I know that link and I use part of this technics at my scout legs. But i destroy one foot so I need to sculpt a new one. All Info I was needing is on 7-9 photo.

Mahon I hope you put this tutorial on the main site if Mr. Ilussionrip will not have anything against that.

As for me I start to sculpt a foot (not a whole leg yesterday). First in the evening I sculpt sole of the shue. Basicaly I press a space marine foot in the GS and cut shape from this. I do this to have a correct size and shape. I leave that on night tu cure. This very morning I put a sole on a pin mounted in a leg and start to build the rest of the shue. Using the tehnic from Ilussionrip pics :)
Now it looks quaite good, as for my first time to sculpt anything serious from GS. But how Can I polish a surface after a GS will be cured? I try to polish GS when I sculpt but Im not 100% happy with a result, How to correct a mistakes in a later stage?

you have to polish the GS when it's fresh, with kitchen oil or water+ludwig :mrgreen: or gel for preservatif

I heard that vaseline is also very good to make the GS smooth...(but the downside here is that you have to clean it afterwards...)
