You could always talk to Nav about doing concept art for you. He does freelance work, and is amazingly good.

Oh, and during your research, go talk to Iron Wind about their casting prices. From what I understand they do really good casting and are willing to do smaller numbers, etc.

lm going to look into iron wind sometime this week when I have a day off..

Another thought I had was a limited run on the minis .. something like 1500 to 2000..what do you guys think? Dose a limited run make you want a mini more or less?
Demi_morgana whats a mini line with out the undead? ive got a few ideas of how Id like to do this.. but any thoughts are welcomed.

As for right now I want to do 5 to 10 minis for the opening line... Depending on what everything will cost.. it may be less...

NAVARRO would you want to see bug men or just big bugs? or maybe mutie bugs.. ohhh I got an idea gaint spider riders... ohh better yet.. instead of horses some kind of bug mount ...

I guess i should really flush out my world a bit more lol...

as for money I think You should contact personally with sculptor of Your choice - everyone has different preferences about wages

I don't know how, Broken WingZ, have never bought a miniature line

If you are serious about it, try to contact a company which carried out such operation. They might be willing to share some secrets about legal issues, or give you advice on what you should take into consideration (e.g. condition of moulds).
