Paint peel effect?

If you add too much Tamiya flat base to the paint when it dryes te paint will crack like old paint and also the paint will have a dull white surface.

this was just acrylic paint carefully added to where I thought the vehicle would get the most damage; important to keep things in scale, IMO.
