I understand your anger, sorry to hear your story. But gun is beter, than knife. Bullets will catch that thief...
Saying that
Carring weapon on the streat is not a good idea, unless you work as GI in Baghdad. I carried a pistol once when I was a teenegar on Warsaw street (lets say I help somebody). And I can tell you that weapon in your pocket make you stupid unless you familliar with that feeling... I know that because that gun make me stupid (thx God nothing happen because my stupidity)...

Well the night has passed and I haven't slept much but it's okay! Normally I would feel depressed and the thought would spin to my head all night but now it was just because of the adrenaline rush and I feel 'okay' and am really looking forward to some days in the sun on Tenerife!:D

Sorry to hear that, Skrit, really a shitty situation. As the others already said, it's better that you didn't have any weapons with you. I have a friend who in a similar situation had a knife with him, he was also a bit sozzled and he used it. The only thing it brings is really, really baaad times. Not only you have problems with the law, but the mental stress that you have someone hurt, badly hurt, even a bloody bastard like that, makes someone like you depressed and stuff like that.

You have a great family and friends, you'll overcome the lost of money relatively easily. :)

Thanks Endrem!:D

Something really unexpected happened when I got home last night. My dad told me my aunt had given me 50 Euro because she felt sorry for me, and when I spoke to her on the phone to thank her she told me my uncle had doubled the amount!

I was really surprised and the only thing I could bring out at that moment was.... Thank you!

glad to know things are getting back on track and dont mind the thief he probably just bought an ticket to hospital with an overdose.
You have your health and family and you really shouldnt change your principles because of some junkies.
Besides if you got into the violent path you must be prepared to all or nothing and its extreme consequences.
Wise decision mate.

@demi no need to pray if he is stealing its because his world is hell already.

1/ Sorry to hear that, Skrit, I did lost my wallet before, I know how that feel if I lost my $.

2/ I dun suggest to fight if your life was not being threaten. No matter how much $ is gone, u still have a chance to earn it later if u still live. Even if u cannot, think about how your friends and family will miss u if u are killed by the thief. (But of course, if the thief was trying to harm you while he robbed u, self defense or running is a must!!)

3/ I kindly hope that you will provide as much info as u can to the police about the thief, appearance, clothes, etc....which may help the police to stop the crime and prevent the robbery happen again on another victim.

P.S. Folks, I miss this site and u all always, but from Jan 8, 2007, I just start my new job in the marketing department @ SGS in Hong Kong, a bit busy lately, and hey, talk to u guys later and do not delete my account pls as I dun post as often as I am usually do. (joking :) )

I'm glad to hear you are OK, I hope you'll get some sleep tonight. I've never been robbed, but it must be horrible. Not just about the money, but also the idea of being unsafe. Which is even worse when you're not feeling well at the moment. But indeed it is much wiser to give them what they want and get out unharmed (and don't carry around a weapon of some kind). I hope you can have a nice vacation and forget about it a little.
