Yeah I'm not too keen on the face of it... In regards to the angel, there have been similar feelings in other forums on how pointless and stupid it is however I'm fairly impressed with it, makes a nice addition to the banner. That barding on the front is pretty cool too, kinda reminds me of Scibors armor plates he uses on his Marines.

yeah you're right about the angel. it's simply silly.
in 40K these are not angels but either cybernetic creations (familiars, servo-sumthings, etc.) or "cherubs":

EDIT: as for the horses, you are right - the old horses were almost as crappy as the elf steeds from the previous edition of wood elvesCheribum... they have something of a mixed origin. I know Confrontation (the original Inquisitor/Necromunda game) made mention of them, but I do not remember exactly what they were... they are most definately alive, however, and are naturally attracted to powerful individuals.
Servo-Skulls are built from the skulls of deceased Imperial Servants. I doubt they consider it a "dishonour", otherwise why not use the heads of slain traitors or heretics?

The minis are good, much better than the previous empire stuff. And one of the better releases from GW lately. I might buy that general with the reaper on a standard. (Reaper with a hammer

I'd say that it's the same as in 40k, they're mechanical (note the cogs in the stomach of the empire general's). Seems gw wants to give the empire a bit more advanced technology, much like they did to the dwarves. Not a good thing IMO, but it looks easy to remove toomahon wrote:yeah you're right about the angel. it's simply silly.

However, I really like the new swordsmen a great improvement!

The new Empire pieces are great! I've seen some more and for the first time ever I'm thinking about actually collecting an Empire army.
