And isn't it?

I am also very surprised, Mahon... :p

@LE - true, it's a game. Still, I like painting models, and prefer to play a game with painted (even if quality is low) models. Just my opinion of course and I'd have no problems to play with fullheadofhair and his primed minis (although I'd prefer to play something else, than CO ;) )

BTW - I'm going to print a warmaster army for me, as I'm not fond of painting such small minis.

@fullheadofhair - I was joking speaking about tournaments. I also do not fully like competitive games.

fullheadofhair wrote:Well I have stripped the mini's and they are now spray painted black and dry brushed skull white - it looks so much better with the detail picked up a little bit so thanks for that tip. Just waiting to be varnished. I have decided that I will do two colors for each model.
glad you like it! the models stand out so much more because you technically have all the eye is looking for, shadow and highlight-wise and it'S not a lot more work for a lot more impact, imho :)

as for assembling CO minis for playing if you want to paint them...i know the feeling...I have a wolfen prowler standing one legged on a base, half painted....and 3 wolfen torsos without heads and arms and i wrote on their base what type of minis they are so my oponents dont get confused ^^ at least i am lucky enough to have a gaming group that knows i am more a painter and accepts it...

My 2 cents

they have those in the local wargame store and they even look pretty decent. Nothing above a standard tabletop ofcourse, but much better than those heroclix things etc.
But I'm against companies exploiting cheap labour in China to get their mini's painted. :/

I agree Mordred, although Rackham may have nothing to do with it, most of the time the work is being done by children...

And I've seen them too, not half bad. And they move too Lol!
