:curtain: it reminds me 2 things:
-there are some "kairo" miniatures in my collection I have to paint
-I played the CoC adventure in kairo - beautiful times... :cry:

Ok another update.. the sergeant is done, though I'm unsure on the leg banding. I wanted to show a sergeant without it screaming "OMG HERE I AM!!!11" ;) The bands are quite subtle but I fear they do not look as good as they could, and ideas?

So far.. I'm liking alot, I'm happy enough with them and have just two more to make a full legal squad of five. But here's a taster, three marines;

Nice marines!
Blue stripes are not a very good choice, though. They do not blend well with the rest of a mini.
I'd go for black knee-pads for sergeants,

The blue stripes weren't the best choice. Other than that tyhe marines look pretty cool. Choosing such a color scheme was a bold move, but it seems it worked :D And the freehand on the shoulderpad is so cool :D

Well the idea with the blue was that it's a colour assositaed alot with Egypt, it has been suggested that it be better pastil but I am unsure of how to get it there. Adding white just makes it a lighter, perhaps bleached bone?

Thanks for the comments though folks, I love them the idea I had behind them seems to be alright to pull it off. The colour scheme looks a little bland but the idea was to make them not stand out too much compared with some, so it's working. The freehand I'm proud of, even if it's not a consistant size and shape; that needs practice.

I am hoping to do conversions and such for them, mostly on characters and such; otherwise they'll be as they are. I do have an idea for the chapter master but.. that's a long way off. For when I get brave. ;)

hehe Nice try. :P

The chapter master I have a great idea, just well I'm nowhere near the level needed to accomplish it and he's not important as such. This chapter is in for the long haul.. as in I aim to have about three companies before I am done with them [Two full companies, half of the first veterans and half of the tenth scouts]. :D
