they look almost exactly the same as the metal ones I have collecting dust somewhere, except for the face of the unit leader and some details like tje cables and strings...

Not too impressed to be honest :(

Try honesty...

If it is plastics its great. I convert my own marksman unit and it looks OK.
As to the snipers operating in unit - thats actually happen in Iraq :)
Two or three months ago insurgents kill 6 marine snipers in one ambush...
As to the ML try to think abot this as back up weapon
Example from real world such sniper-ML team. Chechnya (especially 1 Chechen war)
4-5 guys, 1-2 RPG 2-3 Kalashnikov and SWD - it works great...
I know that West and East start to change their tactics regarding snipers recently. Times of lone snipers like in Vietnam are gone... (eeserved only for assasination etc)

But Slawek, I think that the real snipers rarely fire together with the missile launcer, and in 40K they do it all the time

But it happen... Try to think about them as marksmen, not "Sniper" from that Tom Berenger movie.
I start to hate that sniperloving fandom...
We have in use big calibre "sniperrifles" from 12,7 mmm to 20 mm !
It could be used to disable vehicles from great distance, not especially queiet weapon. Maybe such weapon use those SM scouts. If yes, ML is good weapon to use with such equipment :)

Given that you can conceivably kill light vehicles with the 40K Sniper Rifle, I have always seen it as more of a anti-materiel sniper rifle, ala the Barrett M82 or my favorite, the Croatian RT-20. As such, they aren't quiet, and stealth isn't as important and shooting through things.

Only Russian develop recently silenced 12,7 mm rifle with subsonic amunition

Im really glad that DeadMilkman agree with me :D
We think the same abot this issue... And RT-20 is really interesting, good weapon for SM scout (to shoot from hip :)

I don't mind yellow marines fighting blue-red eldars
This one made me laugh.

I dislike the Scouts face, they somehow look like babies. :P
But it's good to have plastic kits.

Yeah Slawek, I also pointed to thinking of them as of marksmen :) I am glad we agree here
