I don't know, Rackham seems to put the painting standard very high too. And fluffy does the same for privateer press.
I don't think that wyrd miniatures is a producer that aimes for great sales btw, while that is what GW does. I think Wyrd aims for, and attracts, a more select group of painters and modellers, and those aim to get better most of the time. So I think the painting style they show, serves this well. And personally, a good painted mini will get my attention faster than a mediocre one ;)

Oh, definitely :)
I 've been however thinking about manner of painting and choice of colours, not the quality of painting.
While this model is wonderfully painted, I think that used style does not properly show all aspects of the mini. For me, presented picture would look great in a showcase, but not necessarily in an online shop.
