I think, when we do something fo someone else, the best effects are NMM, SENMM, light-sourcing. This is the stuff they usually can't do themselves.

And then they are very happy with their minis

I had no idea that the base could be so much controversy.

I could make the rock for base from "modelina" (a kind of putty) too, but rock made of cork would appeared to be excellent continuation for rock sculpted with the mini - under his foot.

I like the mini a lot, the base is ok but Mahon's comment about adding pva glue and some sand or something to brake up the cork look is a good one. Just one thing the SENMM on the plasma pistol isn't quite workinhg for me, I think you need a darker horizon line to off set the sky earth effect . Still a very nice mini indeed.

very nice mini Mahon said it best about the corkiness of the base, just needs some pva and sand I dont think its too high, just right in my book.

i like the base very fitting for a "Command" figure as it makes them stand out from the rank and file.
