Hi,
I've planned to paint & give some minis for Christmas this year. Today I would like to show you the first (and the biggest) one, which is prepared for my Lady (so I really wanted to do my best). It is almost finished, except a few details like the eyes and teeth, and gems, and columns, but I would like to hear your opinion if any more severe changes are needed before moving to next minis.
I assume that is NMM on the sword.
You did a fantastic job on that weapon, the armor also.
I do not like the figure itself, but you did a GREAT job in painting it.

Thanks, all remarks noted. I'm happy that you like it.
@Demi: The columns are from a pet shop, a fish tank gadget. Its one piece of plastic or resin of some kind. No my work, except painting
Hi,
here is the update. These are actually the final stages, so this thread should probably be moved to the "showcase" section (?). These are of lower quality than the daemon prince, I had no time to finish them I especially don't like the first girl's lips - there was something with the sculpt and I could not paint them correctly. Too bad I couldn't spend more time on them...
I like the consistency between them and the added features on the bases such as the cannonball, it all adds to give some good effects. The red looks a tad flat on them but i know from experience red is notoriously difficult to take a decent pic with. I quite like your skin tones, they look quite good on them and varied across the different models.
Thanks. I must say that they look much better in reality. These pics, although taken by my brother who is a semi-pro photographer, turned out very dark and picked up all the stains and strokes of paint.
The reds are brighter on the first couple, going into orange-blood red and highlighted up to dwarf flesh. The pirates have the red more bluish, with purple in the shadows, which is completely not visible. Also the blue cloaks are in fact blue-green...
Cheers, M.
