The March 20th start date will go on until April 20th, the winners will be announced that following week. The September 20th start date will go on until the 20th of October, the winners will be announced that following week. This contest has no end and will be held every year on the same dates.

2nd place = A custom title and signature graphic for the forums.
There will only be two winners for each base build off contest. The 1st place prize includes a custom title for the 1st place winner's bio, a custom graphic for the 1st place winner's electronic forum signature, and a free seasonal basing kit. The 2nd place prize includes a custom title for the 2nd place winner's bio and a custom graphic for the 2nd place winner's electronic forum signature.
Notes: There may or may not be "honorable mentions". Honorable mentions may or may not receive rewards/prizes.
*Free = Free. At no costs to the 1st place winner. Free shipping as well. In other words, the 1st place winner sends me his/her name and address and I send out the kit for... you guessed it, free.
Requirements
You MUST be a member of the Skullcrafts Forum.
You MUST submit your entries no later than the end dates indicated above.
You MUST be the *creator/designer/decorator of the base(s) submitted.
*If you are NOT the creator/designer/decorator of the base submitted, you will be disqualified automatically. You will also be IP banned from the Skullcrafts Forums. Depending on how blatant the offense is, I may decide to pursue the matter even further. I have zero tolerance for thieves/liars.
Submission Requirements
You MUST only post your submission(s) in the Base Build Off section of the forum. An admin will create a new thread for each contest. A submission posted elsewhere will either be moved or ignored.
You MUST post a minimum of one *clear picture of the base being submitted.
In the same post, you MUST provide a second clear picture of the base with a miniature mounted/placed on it. For scale purposes only, the miniature need not be painted.
Notes: A thread will be started for each contest and you will reply to that thread with your entry/entries. For each entry, no less than one clear picture of the base will be considered. Information on the base will be optional, you are only required to post a picture of the base and indicate that it is your entry. It is recommended and encouraged to post more pictures and even some background info about the base and what it's meant for or how you made it. All optional of course, it has no deciding factor for the contest.
*Clear means clear. Fuzzy or blurry pictures make it difficult to judge your creativity. Make sure you have adequate lighting and the picture is in focus. Also be aware that touched-up photos will not be allowed unless it's for brightness or clarity. Photo airbrushing and things of that nature will get the submission disqualified.
Rules
There will be NO precast/premade bases allowed unless they are heavily modified or are presented in a unique and/or creative way. The contest is about creativity afterall.
You MUST host your own pictures or have someone host them for you. I will not be hosting pictures or files.
You MUST be the creator/designer/decorator of the base, you can't submit a base that's not yours.
You MAY submit more than one base per contest. You will NOT win more than once, however.
Notes: There are not many rules, but it's important to point out the few that we do have. We all work on the honor system here, let's keep it that way.
Restrictions
Base minimum size - A base can be as small as you like.
Base maximum size - A base can't exceed 60mm (a mini-CD for example).
Base shape - A base can be any shape you can come up with.
Base material - A base can be made of any material or be store bought.
Basing materials - Any material can be used to decorate bases.
Notes: A miniature that's incorporated into the base will be considered as part of the base. For example: A miniature skeleton that's been buried and is clawing it's way out of the grave has been incorporated into the base where that same skeleton standing on top of a grave has not been incorporated.
