Information about discontinuation of Golden Demons in Poland caused serious storm in Polish painting community.
But learning from experiences of our foreign friends Polish painters came up with an alternative contest - Slayer of Demons.
Subject is much wider, as the contest is not limited to one manufacturer (which doesn't mean that manufacturers can't offer their own awards), will cover everything from single models to whole armies, and not only fantasy or sci-fi but also historical miniatures.
Awards and trophies seem to be pretty promising so the organizers hope to attract as many of the disappointed painters as possible...
If it works well, we will see another edition of this competition.
So, any foreign painters coming to Warsaw on October 23rd?
Why don't we meet there?
GD is dead? Long live Slayer of Demons!

Oh i would be interested unfortunately i think im going to be in Hong Kong around then and sometime or so i'll be in Abu Dhabi for work. maybe next year
Re: GD is dead? Long live Slayer of Demons!
I am sad to see that the polish GD is dead...on the other hand I am heppy to also see that you don't give up, and that's a good thing for all of us...
As far as the proposed date for the new contest, for us italians on Oct 18 there is the Italian GD so it is difficult for us to come...(at least for me...)
As far as I could remember, spring is a much more easy time for a contest, as I don't think there is too much, but I can obviously be wrong, as I didin't attend to many foreign contest.
But please have all my encouragment in keeping on spreading to all of us your fantastic production...
ciao and good luck

Not this year, maybe next.
Re: GD is dead? Long live Slayer of Demons!
Well looks like i'm definately in HK around that time. But out of curiousity i looked up prices for flight and accomodation in warsaw and it's actually quite reasonable ranging from £250 to about £350 for 3-4 days, which is pretty good i think. So i'll save up and plan it for next year. Hopefully by then i would have improved enough to be competitve with my painting but still i'd like to see the city it looks really nice (well the bits they show you on the usual tourist sites)
