Space Hulk

Post by arctica »

It's all in the title ;) some really nice minis with the boxed set but the price puts me off a little. Saying that im still tempted to get it because this is a game i really enjoyed when i was young lad :D but never actually had a copy for myself.

Limited? Lol, I wonder for how long! :bonk:

GW doesn't do much smaller games anymore as they did in the past (Necromunda, Gorka Morka etc) as they were too exepnsive to make apparently. Seeing these are plastic (I believe) models making this edition limited would only mean making a loss.

So in other words, limited my arse! Next year they'll either mysteriously excavate an abandoned wearhouse with thousands of copies of this game or will decide to re-release it once again due to popular demand! 8)

Frankly, $100 for a board game for TWO is simply a highway robbery or yet another example of an item priced for collectors (who will buy anything with letters GW on it). Yes, I like these minies but to put things in perspective for $100 I can get two squads of Corp of Krieg - also great miniature and I actually might even play with them (my son rather).

Well, one should bare in mind that for $100 you get the minis unpainted. I know it is obvious, but the game won't be that attractive with the minis painted by me, for example, and for sure not worth that money.

And on the promo pictures, the minis are painted extremely well, much better than any mini for the Lord of the Rings series. So GW is really trying hard to sell this item.

of course :) I only wanted to say that until now GW has not paid as much attention to official paintjobs as now (or as Rackham in their glory days).
