Hi! from Flintfish *Waves*

Post by flintfish »

Hi there!

33 yrs old and living in Sweden. I painted a lot when i was younger, but I quit for lack of time about 9 years ago. About a two years ago I "found" my old paints (all dried up of course...) in a basement box while moving and decided that one day I would start painting again, since I really liked the hobby. And now that day has come... 8)

I don't play wargames, but the occational round of D&D so at least some of these minis will be used for that, but mostly this will be just for fun. I joined CMON first, and while grades are nice, the comments (or perhaps lack of them...) wasn't that helpful in furthering my art, so this is hopefully a better place for that...

I use Vallejo paints and citadel inks/washes, and most of the time W&N brushes

Best wishes and see you around

You'll get all the criticism you need here, and for the best bit... it's all aimed at helping you get better at painting :D

Welcome

:scholar:
Getting back into the thick (or rather thin as in thinning my paints) of it, not picked up a brush in some time so this may hurt a bit until I get used to the feel of them again

just like the guys said - if you need a friendly kick to the butt, you're in the right place

soon you will meet all the local personalities - our own cyberzombie, mr. high expectations, the better choice and the rest of our nitpicking group. ;)

but seriusly - reading your story I realized how common story it is: one used to paint, then quit the hobby for several years, only to return to it later and notice how much has changed in the meantime.

good luck and have fun painting!

Seems like the friendly buttkicking place I need :-) The feedback so far has been great, and lets see if I can contribute as well.

For the record: There's nothing wrong with red, and I own the McVey painting guide
