heh thanks, hope you had a nice trip Mahon :D or still having a nice one.

Anyway got a bit more progress on the model, im happy with how things are turning out, but i had a bit of trouble getting the blue to be a bit smoother then usual, most of the surfaces i've been painting are quite small so its a nice and good experience, had to redo it once :) anyway enough talk ! more piccys :D

okay arctica, that is just plain disgusting! You call yourself a table top quality artist and start producing stuff like this! I couldn't get smooth transitions like that even when I was painting almost everyday!!

Keep this up and you may have a possible GD contender on your hands!

Ok color me impressed. That is looking great man, it is even tempting me to try nmm again.

Just a quick update from another 2 night's work, got the other foot mostly complete. Im having lots of fun doing this model atm and i think that helps so much. Luckily we have a 4 day weekend here for easter, so hopefully i can get as much of the model painted, but i won't rush it. Going to have to paint some of the internals in the body and work outwards before i finish the leg. Anyway have a lookie :D

Wow. Great job on blue and gold. Purple lake looks nice too.
I dont like only one part of this work-silver nmm. If i were you i would try to glazing that parts in light blue.
IMO mini looks amazing. I;m looking forward to see next pics.
Cheers!

This might turn into your best work yet! :)

I am no NMM expert (or lover) but somehow I feel something is missing on the 'grey' areas... Maybe an extra layer? Or it could be that it's just to clean for me and I would like to see some weathering! ;)

yep, i think it has potential to be better even than the eldar guy! but skrit is right - the steel parts are not quite right. they don't feel metallic enough. i think it's because despite strong highlights they lack some shading. what I think is that if metal is very reflective it reflects both lights and shadows....
something about contrast makes them feel plastic...
