Marienburger captain + dragon - update

Post by Mordred »

hiya,

two new wiP's from me here. the captain for my mordheim warband, and an early WiP shot of my black dragon. I'm really pleased with both of them so far. I think I will give the mordheim mini some brighter highlights on his face, it's too dark right now. the metallics don't photograph well, but I like them at the moment.

I'm unsure what colours I should give to the skin of the dragon and the horns on his back ... if you have any suggestions please share them !

I've been watching your work on Cmon and must say that it is fantastic, your use of colour is great you get a lovely dark feel to your minis without being too dark. I'm looking forward to seeing the whole warband.

new color scheme is for sure better than the previous: yellow totally wouldn't fit the rest of Your mordheimers;
btw - I hope works on display base for these guys are on pretty advanced stage at the moment... :wink:

can't believe I missed this topic :?

Anyway, you did a good job changing the yellow :) It didn't look right on this mini. While yellow and purple are very striking together (Duhh they're complementary colors :P) I think it looks better when small details are yellowish.

Like all the other mordheimers you've made I like this one very much too. I think you're defenitly improving on your metallics and the face is wonderfull as allways. I'm hoping to see it finished soon ;)
