I boil the water, hold the parts I want to bend in it for a while, and after I think it's long enough I try bending the parts a little. If it won't bend, just keep them in the water a little longer. You have to be a bit patient with this :)

So I should not be worried about melting?
Can you give me some idea how long it would take for horsie legs and peggie wings?

I don't think you need to be worried. I did it a couple of times and my plastic never melted :) The horse legs don't need to be in the water too long. Try it after a couple of minutes. If it's not softened, you can put them in the water again. The wings I don't know, as they seem quite thick.
