Witch Hunter Retinue

Post by LittleDave »

Hey guys, I'm looking to make a customized retinue and could use some suggestions.

Ideally I would like some knight figures that would fit in with this crusader. I'm considering using Necromunda redemptionists as well, although I would really like something in plate. I'll also need to equip them the same (power sword & suppression shields).

So far I've went through the WHFB line and didn't see anything of much use. I figure some of you may know some good non-GW figures that could fit the bill. I would also like to keep the green stuff usage to a minimum if possible.

I realize that's pretty vague, but I'm open to any suggestions at this point. Thanks in advance.

Edit: May also be an excuse to use these. :D

well if you can wait a bit we will soon release new set of servants...
as for redemptionists iirc most of the models carry shotguns/flamers - only juves could be turned into inruisitor retinue witn no problem...
but then again they don't wear plates :(

That would be mint, is there an announcement for this somewhere?

I snagged a couple robed dark angel legs. Probably going to swap in some fantasy arms, new torsos, purity seals, weapons and look for some interesting heads. My only concern is they may be too similar to space marines since half of the torso is in power armor.

perhaps Junkers minis from Urban Wars? some examples are here - I think they fit 40k imagery quite well, and are not too space-marinish. They look like Romans though, not crusaders :(

I thought about using those for arbites. There's something about the figures that bothers me though.

Hmm as crusaders go, have you tried looking through the mordheim selection of models? but i've always imagined a combination of chaos warriors and empire soliders to possibly work together? but im not too sure.

the first group of Junkers is excellent and I think what bothers you is that the pic creates quite a strong image in your mind, so it's hard to imagine them as Crusaders.
But they should work just fine IMHO...
