Dryad

Post by Ayame »

So, our local GW store gave out Dryads for a little mini-contest. The contest being "best color-scheme wins!" although I must admit that the dryad model must be one of the worst suited models, It being all wood and all. anyway, A 4 hours paintjob between 1-5 AM last night, here's the result (sorry for the bad pics, was really tired)

I like, the yellow around the eyes give them an unearthly glowing effect. The wood is well.. wood but lighter. I like.

I like it ! simple but effective.

my only remark has nothing to do with your painting : why the HELL does a dryad need clothing around his/her crotch ?

Well done. Wood looks a little light, but there is nothing wrong with that.

Well, It's old rough bark as GW describe's it, I'd say it's the result of the poor imagination of the desing crew.

Thx for comments all! hopefully next model I bring you will have a little more to comment about =)

Simple color-scheme, but it's very good.
Maybe if the wood be darker it would looks more as forest or tree.
But I very like it - waiting for whole unit. :)

nice paintingj ob; but I think this mini should be more shaded :? it's probably only the matter of personal taste - I like strongly shaded miniatures :D
